Written by Super User.

40th anniversary celebrations and the success at Glasstec to crown a fantastic year

The 2016 edition of Glasstec confirmed once again the great success of FOREL within the glass processing industry. Many visitors were present at the stand – the biggest ever for the company – to look closely at the latest technology and cutting edge solutions of the Italian brand.

In Dusseldorf, the Italian company presented some innovations as well as established products like the Vertical Edging Machine  - Art. EM (Best Seller 2015-2016)

FOREL’s exhibit a this year’s show indicative of this focus. Having come “into its own” with the increased use of laminated glass, particularly in the commercial but also in the residential sectors, the Forel Vertical Laminate Cutting line, attracted significant interest from european glassworks but not only . This revolutionary innovation was first launched by Forel 20 years ago, turning the horizontal cutting process into the vertical, the principle behind the philosophy delivers machinery reduced footprint, increased productivity and performance whilst reducing manpower equivalents and handling. The other main benefit of the vertical cutting line is to reduce breakages thanks to the reduced tension of the applied load on the glass sheet.

FOREL has introduced the new Gas Fill Analyzer to its IGU line process (world premiere 2016), a revolutionary new technology offering completely automatic in-line monitoring and checking of the gas fill concentrations, in assembled insulating glass units. This revolutionary development released by FOREL R&D can be installed on the conveyor directly after the gas press, offering immediate reporting of the actual gas fill percentage achieved. The speed of this automatic scanning system allows inspection and reporting without affecting the cycle time of the line.

Also on display a new upgraded version of the Profile Bender with “Smart Arm” by adding a new option for bending plastic spacer bars. This upgrade has been carried out in response to the growing market demand to process with precision and quality this new generation of profiles of high energy efficiency performance. In the working process cycle, the profile is heated, bent and then cooled on the basis of a number of parameters optimized according to the type and thickness of the product used

One of the major innovations for FOREL at this Glasstec 2016 event is represented by the Sorting System (art.SS) developed for automatic feeding of the IGU lines or other process lines. Art. SS is a comprehensive and automated solution for the internal logistic of the glasswork. It allows the automatic or semi- automatic offloading of glass from the cutting zone, transport and storing with the possibility to transit through an arrissing line, cleaning and quality control. The system basically consist of handling and storing modules that can be combined together to better meet customer needs

The tradeshow provided important feedback about the philosophy of separating the edging and the drilling/milling processes in the same line has been extremely successful. Particularly, as the Art.DM drilling/milling machine is presented with “finished” glass panels with fully processed edges from the Art. EM edging machine, it is able to guarantee extremely precise references and measurements. This precision has been highly appreciated by those glass processors requiring high repeatability and tolerance in, for example, tempered laminated glass production

The company arrived at the event after celebrating its 40 years of activities a its company headquarters in Vallio di Roncade (Treviso), North East of Italy. These of FOREL have been 40 years of longevity which have been characterized by a constant search for innovation, reliability and quality allowing the company to continue to expand and to respond more efficiently to the needs of its customers.

Forel always thinks, designs, develops and tests its automations within its Italian Headquarters. There is no outsourcing in other Countries or fragmentation of know-how caused by a flow in information split across different production sites. This centralized knowledge and the complete control on the technology is a guarantee for all the after-sales service, from any upgrade to every customer inquiry solution

The Italian company is approaching the end of the year with a renewed awareness and the will to continue to deliver the most innovative machineries and the best solutions for its clients

40 YEARS OF FOREL

Written by Super User.

Forel was founded and started its activities back in 1976 and, since then, the company has grown and developed, becoming one of the major global operators in the development and production of systems and lines for the processing of IG units and flat glass. On the 21th May 2016, the company officially celebrated 40 years of activities at its company headquarters in Vallio di Roncade (Treviso), North East of Italy.

The 40th anniversary celebrations took place at the end of a threeday 'Open House' event, the yearly inhouse fair to promote the Brand. Guests at the event included local dignitaries, members of Unindustria, businessmen and employees of Forel and their families, as well as a large number of clients from all over the world. The partecipants had the chance to have a firsthand visit to the company and see products such as the complete assembly line for IG units with flexible spacer, the vertical processing line made up of modules for drilling and milling, the vertical cutting line for laminated glass, machines to process spacers and, last but not least, the automatic quality control system for glass.

During the speech the founder of the company, Fortunato Vianello, spoke to the guests about the collaborators that over these past 40 years contributed to make of Forel what it is today, and how important is the generational change to continue to 'dream big' and being able to face important challenges.

A company history made up of successful stories but also difficult periods that have enabled the company to become even stronger and globally recognized for its innovation and knowhow. Forel has overcome the crisis by working internationally, while still maintaining its artisan roots and company philosophy which are clear to see in its family of patents.

"Our story is, first and foremost, made up of values that we have always maintained and which will continue to guide us in the future," said Mr. Vianello. "The ability to innovate and anticipate market trends, continuing to provide vangard solutions plus our investments in R&D that we have always carried out even in the most difficult times and situations, and, of course, the copactness of our Group, which enable us to work together to continue to reach new important goals."

INNOVATION FOR FUTURE

Written by Super User.

Forel will present at the 18th edition of the Vitrum 2015 all innovation designed to respond to the requirements of the glassworks.

Automation, security, performance and reliability are requirements that we have identified together with our customers and that we are in the latest versions of our machinery with particular attention to ease of use and flexibility in processing. For achieving these results, on the threshold of forty years of experience in the production of machinery, we have strongly innovated our range of products with patents and unique solutions that have revolutionized the double glazing machinery as for example the main frame, which has been developed with the mono-block feature. Another distinctive feature is the well-known Forel flexibility that allows our customers to customize installations in order to meet the individual production requirements. Over the past five years Forel has increased its investments to develop new products and has radically renewed its sales network aiming to improve services to our customers. In 2016 Forel will open a new service and distribution center in Europe, by grouping and strengthening the current presence in the territory, following the model of success in North America and Russia. At this edition of the Vitrum 2015, will be exposed innovative machines to achieve the ambitious applications of glass in contemporary architecture: panels of extraordinary dimensions, insulating triple and/or quadruple glasses with important weights and thicknesses, structural glazing with a very high energy efficiency. Forel renews the presence at the Event with an important exhibition area of about 1000 square meters, divided into two main areas: one dedicated to the processing of double-glazing and the other for edge processing. The line for the composition of the insulating glass, also has an innovative design and a functional restyling. The entire line was re-designed by improving the management of the cycle and the quality control of the finished product, either through of the operator and in an automatic way. Simplified and optimized the inspection of the glass and the laying of the spacer profile by the operator, increasing the final quality of the product.

A confirmation of the international success found, we present the industrialized version of the automatic sealing robot art. SRHP, an extremely flexible machine with absolute innovations from a technological point of view: the entire circuit of extrusion of sealing products has been optimized to allow a constant flow of material in quantity doubled compared to previous versions. Also the conveying system has been radically enhanced to support loads of more than 450 Kg/ml and manage panel with thicknesses up to 100 mm. Another new feature, for the first time at Vitrum, is the new drilling & milling machine art. DM, a productive solution which proved to be successful especially in line with our vertical grinding machine art. EM. It is a CNC vertical drilling & milling machine to process simple and complex drawing and featured by the most advanced technology. It is a solution to the requirement on processing precision, high speed and ease operation. The vertical line EM-DM combines the edging process in line, ensuring high productivity with exceptional quality and reducing the working cycle time.

Many therefore the news that we are ready to explain and demonstrate during this important event, which hope to see you all there!
